Dear Friends,
We are so ready to dial down these temperatures and wrap ourselves in the new lush
fabrics of the fall season. And if you know us well, you know that we love autumn and all that it brings – from colors in the Forest Preserves to colors on the racks, bike rides on the trails and never again having to rake leaves.
What we're seeing on the runways and in our buying trips are creative combinations - mixes of textures, fabrics, prints, and colors. These surprising, fresh combinations go as far as mixing feminine looks with tailored; shiny with soft and muted finishes; leather with satin. And, wait until you see the glimmer of sequins and silver and gold metallic highlights. These fabulous marriages of style open up the options to your creativity, and we are here to help you create a look that is all your own.
To help you tell your own fashion story, we continue to bring you new and inspired designers. This season is no exception. One new talent we know you'll love is introduced with one of his designs at the left, and in Up Close and Personal later in this newsletter. Rafael Cennamo is dressing a bevy of prominent celebrities and will soon be dressing more of our own "celebrities" (that's you) here on the North Shore.
We're introducing a new look to our newsletter this season with more photos and less copy. There is SO MUCH to see in store, we just have to share more of it with you. Come in and see for yourself and let us know what you think about our new looks of the season.
We appreciate you and thank you for your business,

With young talent, Rafael Cennamo
Rafael Cennamo is a new name to watch in
eveningwear, appearing on runways and worn by high-profile clients. Amidst the sometimes-bizarro wardrobe world of Lady Gaga, Pink and the like, Cennamo designs with a classic eye, but sees through a contemporary lens. He combines bold colors, luxurious fabrics and edgy structures to create his look of modern glamour.
Born in Venezuela to an Italian-Venezuelan family, Cennamo began designing as a young man. His brother's model agency gave him the medium to develop his vision and style, allowing him to dress Venezuelan models and beauty queens. He studied at Miami International University of Art & Design and launched his couture eveningwear label in 2006. Today, you can find him at very select high-end retailers around the world, including Frances Heffernan.
